The fight against the corona pandemic with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and its mutations still presents the world with enormous tasks. Exit restrictions and bans, border controls, maintenance of critical infrastructure: many states are fighting against the further spread of the virus and the consequences of the crisis.
In this aerospace application, two motors are energised and move via flexible couplings a pair of linear actuators on which the engine cowl doors and thrust reverser mechanism is attached, effectively helping decelerate the aircraft and minimising the use of brakes. The LTN Resolver RE15 enables precise feedback of the radial position of the motor rotor in relation to the motor stator.
